Outreach Publications

The Center for African Studies' Outreach Program has developed outreach publications to serve the needs of teachers for information on Africa at a reasonable cost. The Outreach Publication Series is a collection of handbooks for teachers at all levels designed to introduce African resources into any course of study, drawing on the expertise of Africans and Africanists in a variety of disciplines and geographical areas. For teachers with little or no background on Africa, or those more experienced, each book includes maps, reproducible materials for students, and other resources that can be used as a self-contained unit or in conjunction with other studies.

In order to continue to reproduce these materials, develop new materials, and update the old, we need to recover our costs. Therefore prepayment is required with all orders and prices are subject to change. The materials are copyrighted but we encourage duplication of individual items and units for classroom use. The following is a list of publications available from the African Outreach Series.
